Patient Care Specialist

I grew up with a strong love of all animals and always knew I would end up working with them in some way or another. What better way than to become a veterinary technician and help make animals feel better? I got my first job in a clinic as an assistant at age 21 and have been a technician ever since. I started with BFPC in 2013 and couldn’t be happier. I have 2 mini horses, a cat, a snake, and my girl Bently pictured here with me and her mother Harley, who we recently had to say good bye to, way too soon. They have been the most amazing and loyal companions. They have me hooked and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I started with BFPC in 2014 and I love getting to see all the pets, new and old, that come in every day! I live on a farm and have my own cattle business. I’m also finishing up at Modesto Junior College getting my Animal Science and Animal Business degrees (specializing in Vet medicine). When I’m not working, I love going on runs with Krissi, my Queensland Heeler.

After graduating high school I joined the military and became a United States Marine. I was stationed in San Diego, CA for 3 years. There I met my husband and we got two labrador retrievers named Jax and Harlow. After he and I were both discharged we moved here to the bay area. We love being outdoors with our dogs and we take them camping and hiking as much as we can! I have been a member of the BFPC family since January of 2016 and everyday day at work is always a new adventure! Loving and caring for all the patients that visit us here is the best part of every day.

Client Service Coordinator

In 2016 I had the opportunity to start working at BFPC. At the time, I had no idea of all of the friendships that would come from that decision. The two shorties in the picture with me are Kurtis and Maci. They are both Cardigan Welsh Corgis, one of my favorite breeds. I am a farm girl, so I have had, and still have a countless number of animals. I am currently a part-time student at Los Medanos College and plan to graduate with my Associate’s degree in Business Management.

I grew up around large and small animals as well as some exotics. My first job was when I was three where I carried small bags of dog food into pet stores with my grandfather’s trucking company. From then on I’ve always worked in the pet industry. I’ve been a technician assistant off and on for about 25 years for large and small animals. I joined BFPC in early 2017 and just love it here. In my spare time I love being with my husband and family. We enjoy taking our Mastiff, Ruger, here in the photo with me, to the river and dog shows. We are proud to say he became a Champion Mastiff in 2016!!.

Chris tells us she dreamed for years about working with animals and she is thrilled that she was able to join BFPC in early 2018. She has volunteered with several local animal rescues over the last decade, but now she gets to work hands-on with a variety of cute critters, their awesome owners and our fun team every day. She finds working here to be a sincere pleasure. In her time off, she and her husband of 30+ years and their two grown children love to go wake boarding, ride dirt bikes, camp and hang out with their three rescued fur babies. They have Cooper(9) pictured here, who is a Pit Bull/ Shepherd/ Chow mix; Jemia (14+) a Shepherd / Ridgeback and the latest addition; Sasha (1 1/2 ) who is a Chihuahua/ Miniature Pincer mix. They always make going home a party…even if she’s only been gone 15 minutes.

Patient Care Specialist, RVT

As a child I loved all animals and wanted my future career to involve working with them. My senior year of high school I was given the opportunity to intern at Brentwood Family Pet Care and it changed my life. My whole life I was told “do something you love and you will never work a day in your life” and that’s what I wanted to do. I learned what a veterinary technician was and knew right then it was my “something” I would love. I’ve been here since spring of 2018. My picture shows me with my rescued terrier mix, Scuba.

Patient Care Specialist, RVT

I’ve loved animals my whole life. My earliest memory is helping my mom take are of kittens. From kindergarten, I told everyone I was going to be a vet. This has heavily influenced my education goals – I graduated from UC Davis in 2016 with a degree in Animal Science. My goals have changed a little bit and I’m now very happily pursuing my RVT license.

Pets have always played an important role for me – They’re family. This is why BFPC is such a good fit for me; I get to love client’s pets like my own! I volunteered here for quite a while then got to become part of the team in summer 2018.

In addition to Bun Bun, a mini rex rabbit, I enjoy spending time with my two dogs, 5 cats, and other rabbit. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and going to Disneyland!

Client Service Coordinator

I moved to California from Washington state in the spring of 2018. I brought with me my 3 horses and my Catahoula leopard dog, Kyser. In Washington, I managed a Hunter/Jumper facility, so it was a no-brainer that I wanted to stay in the animal industry. I became a team member in the summer of 2018. In my free time, I’m either with my horses, Heidi, Ice, and Prince, or going on adventures with Kyser
